1930 Not Recognized

I have never had a problem syncing my PDA until about the middle of last week when I started getting a message that the USB device has malfunctioned and is not recognized. I tried two different hot-sync cables and it didn't work with either of them. I think a hard reset will probably fix it but I really don't want to do that if I can help it. Any thoughts?

Have you tried a soft reset?

Have you tried deleting your existing partnership and setting up a new one?

I've done numerous soft resets without any effect.

How do I delete a partnership and start over?

In either case, my PC is not recognizing the PDA so would deleting a partnership help? I'll try anything to avoid a hard reset!

I deleted the partnership and did another soft reset. I even rebooted my PC. Still not recognizing the PDA. Any alternative to a hard reset (will that even work?)?

Try reinstalling Active Sync.

What now?

I rebooted, deleted the partnership, and reinstalled Active Sync.

I'm still getting a message that USB device not recognized.

Is there anything left to do other than a hard reset? Will a hard reset work?
