Hey Cirrob...where did you order yours?
I went thru this same anguish when the 4700 was introduced... I placed an order, and for 3 months they told me "Next Week".
I've got an Uncle that's a VP at HP (or should I say was..now retired) perhaps he can find out about a release date!

What!? I can't wait till January!!! My 4705 died and I'm barely scraping by on our original 1900!!! (Yes, feel sorry for me :) ) Must... have... good...resolution...

Spoke with my uncle (former HP employee)... he spoke with three different employees, and got: "Maybe mid Oct", "Sometime in Nov", and "I'm not sure"

I'm ready to throw down some coin, even if it's just a pre-order thing!

Guys. It is not even out yet. Yes, it is awesome. Yes, we all want it. But until HP actually puts it up on its site to be purchased, stop trying. I mean, I know you can find a link somewhere, but most places (aka in Home and Small Business) it says Coming Soon. We never get straight answers from Customer Service or Sales Reps. So why do you expect to get them now. Just wait. Sooner or later, these bad boys will be released.

I wouldn't be surprised if this thang was released sometime next year.
I've managed to go thru 3 hx4705s in the past 4 yrs (wee bit rough on the units

)... I'm ready to buy another unit, so I don't know if I can wait for the 211. I would prefer not to go thru the pocket pc tech upgrade, and the purchase of a SD wifi card (801b is just too slow). I can wait a few more weeks:(

Hi , I'm new here and been reading this thread. Somebody mentioned the 211 would be available on the 22nd of this month .. .
Maybe it's still on for that date? It's been 'announced' on the HP site for over a month now. Seems like a long time and not come out with it yet.
I want it!!

Let me give you some idea as to products being announced. ATI announced in July that they were releasing a USB TV Tuner that would come out in September. The information for the product has been on their site since July 10 and only just yesterday did it actually hit the market. It's been almost three weeks since the end of September.

Using that as a model, let's assume that HP said initially the 210 was to be available in October. They technically have until three weeks into November. But now that many of us are getting responses from HP Reps that November is the new release month, the HP has three weeks into December.

This is, of course, using very liberal estimates.

I just got an e-mail AND a phone call from HP saying that the iPAQ 210 will not be out until next year. I don't know if this means January 2008 or just 2008 in general, but this really sucks. I REALLY wanted one too.

They told me to cancel it because my order will eventually be automatically cancelled anyway, so blah. My heart is broken.

Just checked the HP small and medium business store, and it says the IPAQ 210 is "coming 2008". A little later than expected, eh?
