Anyone care to to make a pro/con list of the ipaq 210 v. your current favorite mobile gadget?

Thanks.
I have a X51V that to me is a my perfect Pocket PC. The iPaq 211 will have a newer WM6 vs mine with WM5. Other then that my X51V matches up against this PocketPC to a T if it were still in production (shame on you Dell). So I guess another match up would be availability. iPaq 211 wins hands down.

I wouldn't say they match up exactly. The axim has screen polarization issues in landscape mode which to me is all the difference between the 210 and the axim, besides the obvious WM5 v WM6.

I had an X51V and I felt cross eyed watching a video in landscape. That sucked.

Microsoft has created resources for three different dpi settings. The most popular is 96 for QVGA, 128 for ???, and 196 for VGA devices. tobias.waldvogel of xda-developers has extracted these resource packs for use with the HTC x7501. Check out the screen and relative size that each dpi setting provides.

be aware of that
if you browse HP 211 from Home and Home Office, the price is $449, with 64MB of RAM, 256MB ROM
Buy HP iPAQ 211 Enterprise Handheld(FB041AA#ABA), iPAQ Handhelds, Handhelds direct from the HP Home & Home Office Store
however, if you browse from HP Business, no price, but it has 128MB of RAM and 256MB of ROM

well as no one had an answer for the video question i went and looked up the processor. Marvell PXA310 .
Marvell: PXA310 Processor Series

according to this its got "intergrated video"

Integrated hardware video acceleration and hardware security/DRM processing for VGA video playback and camcorder functionality, video telephony, and digital TV.
the product document also says this
Consumers can enjoy the features of 3G HSDPA networks—such as streaming H.264 VGA video—for extended periods.
The PXA310 processor, with efficient video playback and Wireless Intel SpeedStep technology, gives users long battery life,
enabling them to take advantage of network features for longer periods of time.
i wonder how much of this is implemented in the 210 ??

it appears that they fixed that
$450 for 128RAM/256ROM+VGA, it looks attractive
but hope there'll have NO MORE CRACKING SCREEN issue

Speak for yourself! I use the hell out of my CF slot. I wish more manufacturers would support.

1- dump files off digital camera SD card.
2- CF GPS
3- CF ethernet adapter (makes for a handy little diagnostic tool)
4- CF camera (not used quite so much anymore)

I find it interesting that the website mentioned above for purchasing had the estimated ship date as 9/15/2007 yesterday, and today the website says 9/16/2007. I wonder what we can infer from that?

Brian.

It sounds like they are in stock and ship the next day, but if you go to the main page and search for the product you can't find that page. It appears that they are just getting the website ready for the release, and will start taking orders when they have stock on hand.

Sandisk has a great accessory for the hp 200.

The SanDisk Extreme 4GB SD Plus Card Ducati Edition. This is a Class 6 card.

On a side note, kudos to Panasonic for creating a standard SDHC rating based upon the sustained transfer speed (ie just because a regular car can attain a certain speed does not put it in the elite class).

Well, apparently what we can infer is that their website reports the expected ship date as "today + 2": I just checked again and now it says the 17th...
