Yes, they have taken my money...but! they reassure me it WILL arrive by 30/11/07. Will believe that when I see it.

Well, I just read that HP has delayed both the new 600 and 900 series until February 2008 or later. Doesn't seem like HP was too concerned about the market when announcing their new hardware. It'll be interesting to see if and when they actually get these units to the market place.

I have no hope at all
I'd see HP offers WM6 upgrade for HX2XXX, it should be better

frankly, phone-less pda will die out in 2 years, no more

never !!!!! phone with a decent pda are too bulky to use as a phone and a good phone is too small to be effective as a pda.. they will only die if WE accept and buy these halfway devices. if we dont buy them they will stop making them...

everyone order a 210 next year .... lol lol

It looks like time is drawing near. eCost, Buy.com and others have it listed on their site, though it does show out of stock.

Interestingly, my order has changed to ETA 19/11/07 from 30/11/07.

As far as stand-alone PDA's are concerned, I expect they will become industrial devices along the lines of some of the Psion devices. Business users and the rest seem to want converged devices.

Myself, I've used several converged devices since my iPAQ 4700 and am going back to having a PDA and a phone. I think a converged device tries to be all things to all men and not outstanding at either. My Trinity comes close.

But not close enough:)

i agree .. thats what i meant. they are not good enough at either to be an effective tool. you will have to pry the 4700 out of my dead hands before i give it up... unless i can convince the wife to let me get a 210 ..............

I haven't asked the wife, will face the consequences as they arise! Just to have to make sure I get to the credit card statement first.

In the Netherlands, probely the rest of EU too, there are delays too for the new Ipaq's

The 200-serie is expected in jan. 2008
The 600-serie feb 2008
The 900-serie May 2008

The 114 in Nov.2007

It seems that HP has problems to get production running again like Imate had the same problems too.

I pre-ordered on 2nd October on the eXpansys UK website. Up until this morning, the status of the "Remaining to be shipped" portion of my Order Tracking page showed "Pre-order". Today, it's changed to "Estimated 3 days".

However, the item page is still showing up Pre-order with a price of £249.95 inc VAT.

As of this morning 12/03/2007, the HP Home and Home Office website has removed all info pertaining to the iPaq 211 series handhelds.

I sure wish they would get their act together and give us some real info. :realmad:
