The ship date is given on order processing. FYI expected ship date is 18 Jan 08....get your doucats ready...:approve:
I've been lurking these forums for months now waiting for this day! Just had to register to thank you guys for keeping me up to date on 210 news! I just ordered mine and can't wait to get it! *fingers crossed*

Ha ha! I know what you mean. I too got very interested when I saw the change from "Coming in 2008" to "$450". But let's see what happens tommorrow...........
I just thought of something right as I'm typing. Wouldn't the date change to 19th tomorrow because if you ordered tommorow it would take 2 days later to process........so techically it should change, no?

I was once interested in the HP 210 when it was first introduced way back in 2007 fall. Since then I have upgraded my X51V and its spare on my shelf to WM6 A03 that I found on the internet. This version works great, very stable and very fast. If my units ever fail me I will of course get the HP210 since its capabilities are so close to my X51Vs.

I used to think like you my friend. When I first saw the 210 I had my x50v and all was excellent. Then she decided she didn't want to turn on anymore. Tried everything in the books, nothing. So I bought an x51v thinking the same thing....."upgrade it and keep it instead." And then this happened to it:
On paper, the 210 looks somewhat interesting. The 4" is especially attractive for video watching, also WM6 capabilities but how does it compare to the venerable Axim in terms of performs and longevity. For the die-hard stand-alone, PDA user it could be a most interesting ride, if the Hx4700 is a basis for comparison.
Some of us in the UK ordered our 214 in October last year and Hp kindly took our money. Since then the "ETA" has been a constant 13 days ahead along with price changes and being unavailable to order. However, now the ETA has stuck on 25/1/08 for the last few days and its available again to order. So, hopeful signs indeed.

As you can see, my faith in the Axim line is non-existent. I sure hope the HP fares much better.
I understand you point completely! Should something happen to my X51V I would switch to my spare unit. Should something happen to that unit I would be online in a heartbeat and order the HP210. Its the only unit I have found that matches up with my X51V in features (OS and Hardware). My first thought to do an upgrade at this moment was to get to WM6 as an OS. After discovering WM6 A03 ROM upgrade on the internet (free by the way) I just had to try it to see if all of the comments about it were true. They were and I did an upgrade to my spare unit since then. There is rumor of a WM6.1 upgrade being worked on but time will tell. Since my X51V matches the HP210 from a capability (for me at least and of course IMHO) and now I have WM6 I see no need to rush into a new unit. But I will quickly tell you that the HP210 will be the next PDA I purchase. I have no interest at this time in a PDA Phone combination.
I just placed my order for the HP 210. My ship date is 1/19. The link that khtwo posted is not a hacked link. The product page is linked to directly from HP's Small Business store. I asked a sales rep if it was REALLY available, and she said yep. But we'll see what happens :).
At 9:06am I got an email from HP telling me my order that was placed last night at 8:30ish PM has been processed and my ipaq 210 is scheduled for January 18th shipment! It's lookin' like smooth sailing from here but I'm keeping my fingers crossed until it arrives at my doorstep.

(Knowing my luck mine is on the BA 777 from China which crash-landed at Heathow today)
