mine came about 30 minutes ago and is charging right now! quick question, when I slid the back off to pop in the battery there was this "thing" sticking out, it kinda looks like camera film and I didn't know if I was supposed to peel it off like a sticker or leave it (I left it) and when I put the battery in it wrapped over and stuck out a bit, had to make sure it didn't get in the way when putting the back case back on. I'm just wondering, what is this thing and is it supposed to stay there?

That "camera-fil-like-thingie" is a battery tab to help make the removal of the battery much easier. Sounds like you installed the battery correctly - leaving only a tab of said "thing" sitkcing up. Now whenever you need to get the battery out, just lift up on the tab and, bingo, out pops the battery!

I did the same....I've seen something like it before..let's hope we're right. I kinda don't think we need to treat it like film tho.
