Synching with Multiple computers

Perhaps there is help here with this question - I did a quick search with no results. I am posting here as I purchased and have recieved a IPAQ 210 and I am interested in what this group has to say. Sorry for the long post.

Years ago, with my Palm2xe I was able to synch two computers (home and work) with Pocket Mirror. It did a reasonable job - as I really was only interested in the calendar at the time.:)

It has been several years since I have owned a PDA. I have gotten by with Laptops - However, I found myself needing a PDA again.

So here is the problem:

1. Three Laptops, 1-personal with Outloko 2007, 2-Work - but diffferent companies who are in partnership but cannot share email. I do send all appt from one to the other - but haven't done so with email.

2. 2 Exchange servers

3. One mail home email accessed with Outlook

Desire: to be able to access consolidated appts and email

Has anyone been reasonably successful in synching multiple computers? If so (or not) what works or does not work.

Thanks for your input!

EDIT: Ok - found this under Active Synch - but still interested in any experiences :)

You can sync two computer but only one can synce Outlook with activesync. I have found I can load my email buy going directly to the email server instead of using ActiveSync. That way I can have multiple email files. I have not found a way to sync my calendar or contacts though. YahooGo might be a way, I have not tried it.

Here's a software that you could try that allows you to sync to more than 2 computers. The software has been around for a while, and I'm not sure how well it works nowadays:

Pocket Multi Partnership Sync 1.2

Thanks for the reply. I think that there probably is not an easy way to do it, but... I think that this is what I try to do.

The most important thing is the calendars.
Of the three computers, two are used for work. I will manually forward the calendar to outlook on the computer that is my primary machine. That puts Work Appointments on one machine. I will only sync email on the primary work computer.

Keep a calendar on my home machine, synch it as needed. It is the souce for my private appointments. I guess I could forward those to my primary machine also....

For software, I think I will use PocketMirror Professional. Years ago I used a version with my Palm and was synching two machines with it and as long as I behaved myself, I did not get duplicates. It only took once to learn that lesson.

Anyway, I will keep some notes and update here as to what worked or not. I physically recieved the iPAQ today and I am reaquainting myself with the handheld life. Sure beats the 8mb of the old Palm 3xe :)

So far I think it will admirably fulfill my requirements. I just need to get some additional memory cards and then I think I will be good to go.

I like forums like this as it gives a chance to air ideas and pick the brains of those who have been there - done it.

Thanks for the input!!
