got my HP 211
the first feeling: the unit is HUGE, and the screen is big!
now it's charging from USB hub with external power (not plugged to computer)
will post the unboxing pics
need a little more effort to tap, as other posters said

Congrats, just got mine today too. Love the big screen. Yep, the tap effort is taking a little getting used to, but I'll get used to it!

Got my 210 today as well
I'm a 4700 addict, but got this as a present for my brother.

First impression:
-flimsier than the 4700

-WM6 works better than I expected (given the disastrous WM5 upgrade)

Obviously the buttons are much more useful than the stinky touch pad of the 4700

Concerns:
1) ozVGA does not work! Brute force VGA using .mui files works (courtesy of Tweaks2K2), but I am used to having the whole thing at true VGA, not application by application. Any way around this?

2) Where's my backup utility?

3) Where's PI?

Are those two core applications no longer part of the software bundle???

if you have Monster Chinese must read
DO NOT INSTALL V6, this cause the unit unable to boot, and requires Factory Reset
V5.3 (core, SIP, input) works 100%
the screen is nearly unreadable when backlight is off
the tap sensitivity is not that bad (perhaps I use fingernail
HX4700 screen protector will work
bt is same as Asus A626, made a shortcut to start menu, that I can access by pressing a button
VGA looks more than 4x better, but it eats battery like crazy

PI was bundled with the 4700. It is not with the 210. Well worth the upgrade to version 7. They are now on version 8. The initial release had a LOT of issues, I haven't tried this week's update to that release to see if it is better...

Congrats
Congrats all !!!
I'm jealous !!!!
Can you please compare brightness to x50v or x51v that I think you have.
I REALLY want to know if it would be brighter in daylight (for gps) but that may be hard to say I know.

I have no trouble reading it during the day. It is nicely reflective in very bright direct light and bright enough in indirect outside light.

I moved from an x51v to the 210 and, IMO, the 210 is slow, as if the processor were in power-saving mode or something. And I can't find a setting to change it to full throttle. I have used both SKTools and Tweak2K hacks in the past, but I know from experience that everything works better if the OS already does it.

Comments?

Love the big screen. Love the almost automatic setup of wireless and bluetooth. Getting used to tapping harder, but not used to tapping harder and then waiting through a noticeable lag while if lumbers through its routines.

Hi Sandra,

I used mine extensively on a trip this past week. I, too, found that it lags at times and assumed that was due to aggressive power saving. It could also be endemic to the new operating system. The lags may not be as noticeable on slower Smartphones since such would be expected. During writing or other continuous use, it doesn't seem to lag much if at all. Maybe someone will write a utility to both control the preamp and throttle the CPU.

The WiFi was awesome--far better than the X50v. Overall the 211 worked great. The new Mobile Office 6.1 particularly came in handy.
