The original HX4705 1800 mA battery powers the 211 just fine, while the 2200 mA from the 211 also works on the 4705.
I cannot vouch about whether this is safe or not... I don't know why it wouldn't be, but I am no engineer (even less than I am a photographer).

The picture shows the 4705 batter in the 211, and the 211 battery outside. I have to say, removing the back flap off the 211 to get the battery out is a pain and very inelegant. Basically you have to force it. I predict an aftermarket for 211 back panels. The 4705 is far better.
I can't comment about battery life, but it stands to reason that the 2200 will deliver 20% better battery life than the 1800 mA battery. No?
This is good news to be sure. I will be ordering the new 2200 batteries to use as spares for my 4700's .
