I've noticed that on the HP 210, Bluetooth audio sounds absolutely horrendous with background hiss, clicks and pops, distortion, and periodic drop-outs :-(. I thought it was either the Bluetooth stack or my FreePulse headphones. Then, I decided to try wired headphones and heard the same horrible audio! Other folks on this forum were claiming wonderful audio, though?! Then I read this post on Brighthand:

Bingo! In CorePlayer, I had the application volume at 100%.
When I bumped that down to say 75% and raised the volume on the headphones, the hiss, clicks, and distortion all vanished! I can put up with the periodic drop-outs--my guess is that is filesys compaction. Anyways, my old Axim had none of these issues. It looks like the HP 210 is not designed to be driven with the application volume at 100%.
