Question Processor Speed Ajustment etc?

Been getting to know the 211 more each day. originally a x51v owner. A bit bigger but love the screen, the sensitivity could be better. Feel like I'm going to damage it with the stylus.
Is there a way to ajust the processor speed like the x51v. Does it auto ajust. Seems slow at time in comparison to the x51v.
Whats your thoughts?

The battery life varies from 3 hours to 9 hours depend on the load, so I think it automatically adjusts the power comsuming.

I'm not concerned with the battery life as much. usually have a spare and numerouse ways to charge on the go. Would like the best performance.
Being able to control the processor in the Dell was nice.

I think this was discussed in one of mingkee's original series 200 threads. And, I think the conclusion is that there's no way--yet--to adjust the processor power.

Do the current set of overclocking programs support the PXA310?

Actually, the link you posted is not for XcpuScaler. The linkis ImmierSoft XCPUScalar - Scale or overclock the speed of your XSCALE processor 100MHz upto 728MHz, or decrease speed to get more battery life.. BTW I have been running the program on my 210 since day 1 and have it set to permit it not to throttle back to less than 472 Mhz and no smoke nor melted puddles of silycone nor lockups. This is version 3.03 (the one for WM5). Personlly, I know less about this cpu than the older one so shot off an email to immiersoft asking if they had looked at the pxa310 at all and the pro's/con's of using version 3.03 of xcpuscaler. No reply yet but as long as my HP doesn'tmelt, I'll leave it running and see. The Marvel datasheet on the cpu does indicate that the speed is scalable up to 624Mhz but doesn't indicate if it gets set the same way as th pxa270 ornot. I'm hoping for some definite answer from them RSN.
BTW in re-reading your link, I see I spoke ill of it before understanding exactly what it was, SBT.

I think the purpose of adjust the CPU speed is to save power, so it's better to test what's the effect on battery life for a full charge.
