Device waking up while cabled even after Activesync server fix

As the self-explanatory object says, I am suffering from the repeated-wake-up-on-activesync problem which, after thourough researches on google, affected WM5 people. Using my old PDA WM2003 it hasn't been my case.
Either way, I noticed how the 214 boots up every 5 minutes or so when it's connected via USB, even if I manually turn it off. I've read about the dummy exchange server fix, been there, done that, nothing solved.
I checked every application possible, Resco today panel/explorer and Lakeridge wisbar advance have no schedules for updates, no schedules are active in SKTools, and apart from that I have no "system utilities" installed. I don't use my ipaq for email, so there are no accounts set in pocket outlook and consequently no scheduled mail pollings. Oddly enough, something else that happens is that, even if the automatic turn-off while on external power is set to 1 minute, after the device wakes up it never goes to sleep mode. Activesync is obviously at the latest version available.

Anyone else experienced this, or better, found a solution?

You can use a little program called Activesync Toggle.

And there it goes! Hours spent googling around with no avail, and right after installing and "toggling", in a roughly 20mins span my pocketpc actually STAYS off even while connected! JFGI isn't always the best solution :D

Wow, had no idea there was actually a program to toggle Activesync. This doesn't seem that much better than what I do now: I manually switch Activesync by going to Connection Settings and toggling "Allow USB Connections". Of course, this has the potential of causing some frustration if you forget your minor act of Activesync sabotage :).

I can't believe I have not seen this posted here before, I would pull it out of the craddle sometimes with fear of the charge going down. Thank you Box!

After looking at the site 'activesynctoggle' is for the PC end.

The handheld will still wake up on its own if it so desires.

well, erh, of course it will, in case there are scheduled backup operations for example, or if you don't disable the today timeout (but not only these). That's not something dependent on activesync; on my part, activesynctoggle totally prevents my 214 from waking up while charging, as I already very well made sure nothing else on the device is scheduling anything.
