My 210 stopped readiing my sdhc card. Anyone have had this before I hard reset?
If my ipaq is off, inserting the card will turn it on.

But it's the only thing it does. It is exactly as if there is no card in the slot as far as software go.
It used to work fine, but I paid under $100 for a 16gb sdhc. Should I suspect that the card is the problem?
absolutely. check the SDHC card in a reader on your pc before you go the hard reset. have you got any other SD cards? do they work? did you install new software just before the SDHC stopped working? try to uninstall it if you did....

maybe you should invest in a SDHC crd reader for the pc.. it is also good for quicker transfer of files to the card......

My experience with SD cards has been when they fail, generally they still show, as being inserted. It might be worthwhile to invest in a card reader for your PC if you exchange a lot of information, or in another SDHC card to check out your iPAQ. Do you have a friend with the ability to read your SDHC card?

I recently had an 8gb one that went and it didn't show as being inserted. However, it did in my Sony Vaio notebook, but couldn't be accessed, formatted, etc...
I had the same thing happen to me. I was about to post on here when it occured but it fixed itself. I left my SD card out for a couple of days and continued to use the pda. Then on the 3rd day it fixed itself. I have no idea why or what caused it.
it may be the unit "forgets" the driver
regular reset should bring it back
you may want to check the application installed, make sure none of them has conflict
about -HC reader, I bought several when I took travel in Hong Kong
ebay has cheapie, "data finger" type reader, which supports -HC
or check jandr.com for dane-elec reader, which is $10 (supports SD, SD-HC, CF, PSP cards, no variants of these form)
there you go ... take the 16 gig card back. it cant be too old and should still be under waranty.....does a pc see the 16 gig card ? if so try to format it, that might fix it ....

Good advice. I had problems with an AData 16GB card. After a week of use, my 210 wouldn't recognize it. I reformatted the card and it has worked fine ever since.
Note to self: reformat new memory cards before using them for the first time in my PDA...
