This is encouraging, especially the lesser price than was quoted in other posts. Though $49.99 still seems high for a PPC cable, IMHO...

I ordered one last week they gave me an approximate ship date of 6/9/08.

Sounds great David. and we thought HP had deserted us.....

BTW, using the google shopping routine I've mentioned here before, shows, among others, these last 2 entries on the list. I call your attention to the last one from HP small and medium business @ 49.99 . While it's the lowest price on the list it would seem that there's a limit to even HP's price structure. <just thought it interesting that I only overspent by .41 cents> Using google's url for the last entry takes me to the exact same HP add that your message shows. :approve:

I got my cable yesterday but this site was down so I couldn't post. It supports my Sandisk Cruzer usb flash, my Sandisk micromate, my Sandisk Extreme usb reader. It request drivers for my Canon Digital Elph SD750. My Iomega 160GB portable harddrive also works if it is plugged in.

Read/write speeds are comparable to SD Card read/write speeds.

Sounds great speedy. I see that the selection is even increasing at Google shopping of "HP Parts" and that the price is even coming slightly down. Take care and have fun.
