thanks + mouse and video questions

First off, let me tell you all that I read this forum practically every night and I appreciate the input I’ve received from all of you. However, some people deserve special mention. Thanks to Tanker Bob who’s review inspired me to buy the 211 in the first place. Thanks to Chris for reminding me of my password. See, i told you I’d put this one in a safe place :) Also, thanks to FrinkTL for reminding me that I should evaluate the pros and cons based on what I need and want (for example, that flexmail doesn’t work so well isn’t a big problem for me; nor is the CF drain issue. I don’t use either item).

As you’ve probably guessed by now, I decided to buy the 211. I got it last Thursday and despite some hassles (is this a pit on the screen? No, its just a fleck of dirt. How do I get this battery cover off?? Why are there so many adapters on the AC charger???? Why is the screen somewhat unresponsive to the stylus????) I am happy w/ the purchase.

Of course, I need some additional help

I want to buy a mouse, but from what I’ve read here, the stowaway travel mouse seems to be the only game in town. Is that true? Regardless of whether there are others, is the stowaway the best mouse for the 211 (I’m surmising it is the best, since that’s the only mouse that’s listed in the program section of the 211, but i figured I’d ask anyway).

I want to watch videos on this thing. Some posters have mentioned TCPMP. However, I was contemplating getting DVD catalyst GT through ipaqchoice. Has anyone used either one, or have any advice as to whether one is better than the other. In all candor, I’ve never heard of TCPMP before reading about it in this forum, and the only thing i know about DVD Catalyst is that it won an award in 2007 pocket PC magazine.

As always, thanks in advance for anyone that can help.

The Core Pocket Media Player (TCPMP) is a software media player. DVD catalyst GT on the other hand is a PC program designed to convert DVDs to a format that can be played back on a Windows Mobile Device as well as other devices. It is not a choice of one or the other, but rather getting both, or something like both of them.

As most Bluetooth mice do not include a Pocket PC driver, and our iPAQ does not come with a Bluetooth mouse driver, most Bluetooth mice simply don't work.

You can download TCPMP from here.
And all the codecs for it from here, with many thanks to Unit Zero for putting them together.
TCPMP will play a lot more video formats than WMP.

Teksoft have a driver called Blue Mouse that will work with most BT mice. It is also a keyboard driver.
You will find it here.
