Wireless Manager?
Hello all,
Been a while since I've checked in, but I was just reunited with my ipaq charger and can finally use it again...
I brought it into work today with the intention of putting it on the work private wifi network to get my outlook email, internet, remote desktop, etc... Of course, I work in the IT department so all of these are useful to me on the job, but what isnt useful is that entering in a static IP address for this network is a PAIN! I work in a police department so DHCP isnt really what we're looking for, every device has a static IP. I hate having to click through menus every day to assign the IP, then set it back to dhcp, over and over.
So the question: Is there some sort of 3rd party app (or WM6 setting that i missed) that would manage IP addresses for different wireless networks, or manage the passwords and networks better than wm6? the built in wireless manager seems tricky to navigate, i just want something simpler.
Also, I found the proxy setting page, but still need to fool with it a little. Is there an easy way to attach a proxy address to be used on a certain network as well? and any sort of domain settings?
Thanks for anything you can offer!
-Ackbar
