Support for Stowaway keyboard and mouse?
I've seen elsewhere in this forum that folks have gotten the Stowaway keyboard to work with the 210 (although seemingly not all the features of the keyboard are supported). How about the Stowaway Travel Mouse?
I used by Axim x51v as a laptop replacement and utilize the mouse all the time. No support for the mouse would be a non-starter for me to switch over to the 210.
Anyone get that mouse to work?

I would think that the same bluetooth driver would work for Ipaq 210 -- would it not, since it is WM based driver, and not device specfic?

This was certainly true when I successfully used the WM5 drivers for my keyboard and mouse on my WM6-cooked x51v.
I'm just wondering if anyone is *actually* using the mouse. I have seen evidence that folks are using the keyboard successfully.

i use the keyboard, it works perfectly using the WM5 driver included on the cd. You can use the HP keyboard driver on the 210 to get basic key entry only. if you have the drivers, you can close programs, open programs and it makes using the keyboard for extended periods very nice.
you do need to turn off the power management feature to make sure the keyboard does not cut out though, which is easy to do.
Using a mouse seems a little overkill for such a small screen. you can tab between fields using the keyboard and the stylus for anything else. My personal opinion is that the mouse would not really add anything of value to the experience.

Both keyboard & mouse work using the latest Stowaway drivers. Mouse needs to be set in Safe mode for Opera 9.5 to work.

Geoff, thanks for the tip about safe mode for the mouse, I had wondered why I couldn't get the Opera beta to run. Any idea what impact running the mouse in safe mode has on overall mouse performance?
Dave, I use the mouse all the time, with both Axim and IPAQ. I find it makes the PDA work almost like a desktop. Unfortunately a few programs (as I'm discovering with the new Opera beta) don't respond as well to the mouse as they do to finger strokes. However, the office applications (and Opera 8.65) perform extremely well.

in Safe mode, there's some ghosting of the pointer in some apps. i prefer the Enhanced mode... don't use Opera 9.5 that often. agree w/ rick, IE and Opera 8.65 work well.
