Ipaq 210 compatible with Office 2007?

Our company is getting ready to install Microsoft Office 2007, including Outlook 2007 on all of our computers. Does anyone know if there are any issues between Office 2007 and Windows Mobile Mobile 6 Classic or with Activesync Version 4.5.0? Are there any special steps I need to take to protect my data?

(I'm concerned because when we upgraded from Office 99 to Office 2003 several years ago, it messed up my synchronization with my old Axim X50 - and wiped out all of my contacts!).

Make sure you have a backup, including your contacts, just in case something goes wrong.

Office 2007 files should work well on and sync easily to your mobile device. The IPAQ 210 runs the latest version of mobile office on it and so it is already compatible with Office 2007 files.

I switched over to Office 2007 and have not had any problems in regards to my Pocket PCs.

You might find this article to be useful as you transition over to Office 2007:

No problems with office 2007, even the new file format works well.

YIKES!! Major problem with Contacts!

Our computer guru's have installed Outlook 2007 on my computer and all of my contacts are messed up! In particular, Outlook now lists the "FILE AS" column as only the first letter of the last name. This is true on about 80% of my 1,800+ contacts. When I view the FULL NAME under each individual contact, the FILE AS shows correctly.

I have not yet synchronized because I don't want this problem to show up on my IPAQ. I had this same problem when I first bought my IPAQ in February. It makes it impossible to locate contacts on the IPAQ because the only thing that is viewable is the initial.

The only solution I could figure in February was to click on the "full name" in each contact in Outlook and then re-save it. That makes the full name "magically" appear in the FILE AS column - but it took several hours to accomplish.

Does anyone know of a better workaround? I'm hesitant to synchronize until this is resolved.
