A couple of years ago I bought an AXIM X51v from Costco just before they became dead-ended. Two months ago I noticed that Costco was selling the IPAQ 110 and 210 (Canadian models), they are already sold out of the 110. This looks like another sign that the 110/210 series is near its end and hopefully the *40's are soon to arrive.

My Axim got stolen and I want to buy a replacement. I think I may wait for the 240 since it sounds great. Hopefully it will come this fall (an anniversary of the supposed launch of the 210) rather than the actual anniversary of the 210 launch.

I'd hold off till I read some detailed review
211 is OK so far, with mugen battery, I have more juice between changing battery, and about 16 hours audio playback

Given the lack of ROM updates to either the ipaq 210 or the 110. I don't expect HP to provide any updates to any future devices. Instead it might be a good idea to wait for the HTC Touch HD.

If the 240 is real, then it will be the most powerful PDA ever made. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

But the Touch HD is known and real, likely to be available before Xmas, and sexier than Brigitte Bardot in her prime.

Tough choice.... I fear I will end up buying both and pretending to give one as a gift to my wife.

But is the 240 real? Or some fantasy wish for hard core PDA people like us.

only problem i'd have with the hd (besides them not selling it in north america - at least that's what i've read) is the lack of a cf card slot. no required but cf memory is so massive and cheap now.

I just ordered an IPAQ 211 but now wonder whether I should cancel it given the IPAQ 240 rumors and just finding this CDW web page for an "HP IPAQ210/240 Desktop Cradle".

HTC said that the Touch HD will not be sold in the USA. By the time they change over the phone formats, a newer more powerful device will be out.
