As a resident of New York, I am victim of the Daylight Savings Time regime. However, I was surprised on Sunday when my device did not automatically adjust the time from 11/1 to 11/2. All my previous Windows Mobile/Pocket PC/Windows CE devices all did this correctly. This is the first time the device didn't automatically switch. I have all the updates/patches installed and my OS version is 5.2.1711 (Mobile 6 Classic).
Am I the only one this is true for? Is this something "new" with Windows Mobile 6, to not automatically change the time for Daylight Savings? I've looked everywhere I could think of in the settings, and there doesn't seem to be a way that I could have accidentally turned the option off.
Suggestions?

That's just really weird. Can anyone think of a reason why my device didn't automatically adjust the time? Is there an update that I missed? Is an DST update even required under WM6?
I'm lost for reasons...and worry that the stupid thing will (falsely) adjust the time when it isn't supposed to.

I documented myself a little bit more after your question. Apparently the DST is implemented by default in almost all electronic devices, and each device has its "conversion tables" to know when it's the time to do the conversion.
So mine did it at the last sunday of october, while yours was supposed to do that at the first sunday of november.
There is no DSL setting in the Time settings tab, so since I didn't change anything as well, and it worked for me, maybe you could try to go back in time and check again if that works for some weird reason?

That's an interesting idea...I think I might just back up the device and give that a try...just to see what happens.

There is a setting to toggle DST on or off. Im pretty sure wm6 comes with the new DST regulations built in, but even if it didnt you should have got the DST message, just a week sooner.

Where is that setting located? I looked for it in the obvious place someone may think, that is "settings>system>time" (the italian equivalent that is) but wasn't there. Just out of curiosity, I don't really need to change it as it's working as it should.

Based on the lack of an obvious setting in the Time applet, I'm guessing that this is a registry entry? Where is it? No, really, I want to know. Seriously, I do; I don't want to have mess with the time manually twice a year.
