Scratches on the screen protector

Hi,

I purchased Brando's Ultra-clear protectors and put one of them on my screen around 5 months ago. Recently I found a lot of scratches on the surface of the protector (caused by my Ipaq stylus) and some are noticable even with screen on. However, this protector should be "anti-scratch", accroding to its product information. So I wounder if this is the normal case for this kind of screen protectors. And how about the situation and lifetime of the protectors you are using?

Thank you!

I'm wondering the same. My axim is really worn from lack of screen protection. I saw one on a ppc (only for a short period that seemed nice). Many don't use them but what are some quality screen protectors. (Inexpensive hopefully.)

I also have a "higher end" screen protector (Boxwave) that has scratched. I agree that the "anti-scratch" description is a bit misleading, but the protector really only is a thin piece of plastic. If you are looking for more protection, try something like invisbleSHIELD (ZAGG | What is the invisibleSHIELD?) or Best Skins Ever (Best Skins Ever, Inc. Home Page). I have tried the invisibleSHIELD, but find it to be too thick and rubbery for use with a stylus. I'd rather have a few scratches and have a "naked screen" feeling.

To revitalize the protector, you might want to try washing it and re-applying it. Maybe some of the ground-in dirt in the scratches might wash off and leave your screen more new looking. :)

All screen protectors wear out, that is why you use them. I do a lot of field work and I kill screen protectors fast. My favorite is NuShield. I haven't tested everything, but they install without bubbles and survive great (but not forever) in dusty conditions.
