TM506 Tethering with iPaq211

I have tried to tether the TM506 to the iPaq 211 with no success. These are the settings I am using:

In the BT Phone manager:
Communications Device: Generic/Generic with Bluetooth Modem (pairing is successful)
Network Operator: T-Mobile US
Internet Connection: T-Mobile US, T-Mobile Network, APN- internet2.voicestream.com, DNS- 66.94.9.120/66.94.25.120

In Start>Settings>Connections>Connections:
My ISP phone number is *99***5#

These are the same settings used after I used the SE PC Suite to set up my phone to tether with my PC. It tethers fine with the PC. What may I be missing here? Is there extra software I need?

i am having a similar problem. iPaq 211 bluetooth modem to my blackberry 8120(tmobile usa). i have done a bunch of looking and it seems the "extra initialization" commands have been removed from wm6. without them you cannot successfully connect the 211 to your gprs provider. i spent 3 hours on the phone with tmobile and got no answers. google returns a search result that you have to edit a registry setting hklm/drivers/unimodem/init add a 3rd string there called 3 and enter the "extra initialization" commands there, soft reset and it will work. other people have done this and successfully connected but for what ever reason mine wont. i too would love to see a fix for this issue and see what others have been doing to get this to work.

I answered similar problem at hofo
here is what you do
pair each other (of course)
then setup the connection (tap the dual arrow with x, connections)
go advanced first, choose My ISP on both
new connection
name: T-Mobile GPRS
modem: bluetooth dialup modem
number: *99# or *99***?# (? is related with your phone data account ID)
finish

then go to bluetooth manager, tap and hold TM506, connect
choose T-Mobile GPRS, and you should be connected

I do it all the time
