Can't sync with cable or bluetooth now.

Greetings,
I have the 211 with 8GB SD card that I recently changed from a 4GB card. This may or may not be related to the sync problem. All programs are loaded in the device memory and not the SD card.

I have been syncing via bluetooth for about 8 months with my notebook that has Vista. This worked fine with the 4GB and the 8GB cards. I tried syncing with my desktop that has XP and AS 4.5. I have forgotten the exact sequence of events, but I got it to sync with the desktop via cable (USB to mini-usb) but noticed that the holidays disappeard from the PDA. I tried deleting and recreating the holidays in Outlook 2007 then resyncing but no luck. I thought if I deleted everything in the PDA calendar and started from scratch that might work. No luck, and worse, now it won't sync at all and gives me an error that I should try to delete the relationship in AS and try again. I have done that multiple times on the XP and the Vista machine and I get the same error. I have tried syncing via bluetooth, and using both the USB to mini-usb and usb to propriatary cables. Zilch.

Any Ideas?

Thanks,
Pat

I tracked this down to WebIS Pocket Informant I did an uninstall then reinstall then an update to 8.5 and that cleared it up. I was just on the edge of doing a hard reset.

another 211 bluetooth problem

I can't partner my 211 with any bluetooth device. The bluetooth manager seems straightforward enough, but, no matter what I'm trying to pair the 211 to, it gets hung up because it insists I put in a password. I have never set up Bluetooth passwords unless I hit something with a fingernail while setting up something else. I have tried all the usual default passwords ([Enter], 0, 1234, 12345, 123456, etc.) I have a bluetooth dongle that I can plug into the headphone port and I can also connect devices with a cable.

The devices and programs involved are ipaq 211, HP's bluetooth connection manager, something called a streamer (connects my hearing aids via bluetooth to just about any BT gizmo), and Conduits Pocket Player 3x. (I know for sure this problem isn't closely related to Pocket Player because I have the same problem with MortPlayer, GSPlayer, TCPMP, Pocket Music, and, let's see, what other players have I tested? (Most)

I have hard reset this thing only once, but that made no difference and I'm not keen on doing it again.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Sandra

I'm not familiar with the 211, but the most common default BT is 0000
