MS Reader

I have a iPaq 212 Enterprise.

I have downloaded MS Reader and have tried to activate it. It just wont do it.

I have re downloaded MS Reader and tried to activate again.

It activates on my PC but not on my iPaq

Any help would be appreciated

Cheers

I've never used MS Reader nor do I have an Ipaq, so I'm not much use.

But one thing I do remember reading is that you need to install it to Main Memory, and not a Card, to activate it.

Box is correct, you must load it to main memory.

Also, are you trying to load the regular reader to your PDA? There's a special reader for PDAs. The latest version is 2.0.

Thank you very much

I had been loading it to the card.

Now that I follow your advice and load it to the device the activation worked first time

Thanks

Eric

Hi Eric,
What version of MS Reader did you install? For WM6, only ver. 2.4.1 will work.
Get it here:http www microsoft com/reader/downloads/ppc.aspx (please remove spaces and insert appropriate punctuation. I'm not yet allowed to post URLs)
My problem with it is that I can't open a LIT file from my CF card or from main memory. I get a message saying: "The file so-and-so cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate or one of its components cannot be found. if the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file." I have to open the application and look for the LIT file in My Library, which is quite inconvenient.
