Exclamation iPaq 214, solution when CF card suddenly is gone

I just encounterd for the second time a problem with my CF card on my iPaq 214. The first time was when I restored a backup from SPBbackup some months ago en just now when I accidently had pulled out my CF card.

My CF-card was suddenly not accessable anymore, all my installed programs gave empty icons and programs were gone. The first time I clean resetted my PDA and installed my programs again.
Today I decided to look in forums but could not find anything so I had to find a solution for my problem on my own. Well, I found it.

For no reason at all it seems my CF card was renamed as a CF card2. (system/memory/storage card) I did not understand it so I opened my explorer on my PDA and saw a CF card ánd a CF card2.
Renaming the CF card into CF card1 was no problem but renaming my CF Card2 into just CF Card, well, that was not possible so, I removed the CF Card from my PDA, opened my explorer (on the PC because I was still synchronized/connected with my PDA) and I removed the map CF Card out of the root.

After that I placed my CF Card back into my PDA, made a hard reset and voilá, all my programs worked again so my problem was solved. ::approve

This is usually caused by having your email store attachments on the card.

When the card is removed the email gets confused so it creates another place to store the email.
Consequently when the card is back it has to have a different name.

If you delete the one called CF card and then soft reset, it should go back to normal.
