charging

This may have been asked and answered before. I am also waiting for my power to go low to try it.

I am going on a few trips and was only going to bring my usb power cord and ac wall power adaptor. Is there a point when the battery gets too low to charge via the usb-wall ac power? I do not want to have to bring the power adaptor that plugs in via the 24 pin connector with me but I guess I will have no choice if the answer is yes?

Are there any affordable portable power supplies that plug into the 24 pin connector or come with the connector?

Thank You

On many occasions, my Boxwave Versacharger has had no problems charging my HP 210 which had been run down to 0% (or basically where it won't turn on anymore). As a result, I never take the 24-pin charger with me on the road. Hope that helps. If your USB charger doesn't output enough power, you could also switch to "slow charging" and that would probably allow you to charge from a completely drained battery.

Thanks for the info. I drained my battery to 7% also as a test also and tried using my usb power/wall charger. It took about 4 and a 1/2 hours to charge on fast usb setting but it worked. I am using a sync/charger cable from pocketsolutions.com and a usb wall charger plug I had from my Axim X5 (input 100-240Vac, 0.15A, 50-60 Hz AND Output of 5.0 Vdc, 1.0A, 5.0W(Max))

(actually, I still use the charger for the Axim and my TomTom unit when at home)
