screen off?

I used to be able to turn the screen off on my 4705 for battery conservation while listening to music or internet braodcasts. Is there a way to do that with the 211? I know I can shut the back light off but the screen evem i solar mode draws lots of juice. I am trying to maximixe the battery life span since I get far less than I got with mugen ext bat with the 4705 (RIP my favorite toy)

That may depend on the software you are using to play the media. The Built in Media Player has a setting in the buttons menu under Options, to assign a button to turn off the screen when you are listening to music.

I have PocketMusic turn off the screen on my HP 210 whenever music starts playing. The screen really is completely off. Turning on the power then just turns on the screen. It works fine and really improves battery life. I'm not familiar with any radio programs that turn off the screen.
