can not explore or sync IPAQ - Vista

I just changed from windows 2000 pro to Vista (due to a HD failure)..

After intalling my HP IPAQ... and Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1..
All worked fine (although I read of some users having problems)

installed a few more programs (Norton 2007, was one)
Now I lost my HP drive in explorer...
and can not explore via the Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1..
(I receive a Driver error)...
I can only synce after a fresh boot...

any suggestions as to what might have changed..

I have unistalled Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 (and re-installed)...
removed the mobile device drivers (and re-installed)
and yes, re-booted many times...

Something like this happened to me with my new Vista computer when I removed the OEM Norton & installed the version that comes fromYahoo. I deleted the device drivers in Device Manager (For ipaq & cards), re-connected & was good. I had earlier had a problem after installing Quicktime & ended up having to re-build the system, so avoid that.
