Recently I have had this error display when running setup files from my desktop for Pocket Informant and MobiMate World Traveller, I copied the Pocket Informant CAB file to my Ipaq and it ran OK, the MobiMate CAB just won't install. Anybody got any idea where the problem lies.
is the software for Wm2003se? if its for WM5 it probably wont work...

I had the same problem trying to install both PI 2006 and PI 2007 using both the setup and the .cab files. PI 5 installed OK though.
I had a long e-mail correspondence with WebIS about this but they were unable to help and were completely mystified. They said the they had had no other reports of similar problems from others.
However recently Handango Free App Friday gave away PI 2007. Just for the hell of it I downloaded it and, much to my surprise, it installed without any problems.
It was a different setup file though. It was called "Pocket_Informant_pro_us_smart_setup.exe". I would have thought that this was the setup file for smart phones but it worked on my X50v running WM 2003 SE.
All very strange.
BTW it is superb software. The User Manual runs to 86 pages!!

I got both titles from Handango Free App Friday and as I said the PI 2007 works fine, it's mobimate that won't work, I have an iPAQ h2210 running WM 2003 I'm not sure about SE or not
