I have a h3630 from when they came out. It got shelved when the screen digitiser went flaky on me. I only used it as a plaything (boys toys). I bought a CF jacket for it to get it WiFi-enabled, that worked a treat with a D-Link DCF-650W card, although it did bulk out the h3630.
I then bought the Navman GPS jacket and software which I still use to navigate around the UK when I'm going to far off places...... I was really pi55ed though, within weeks of buying the Navman they brought out the sofware with speech directions and no upgrade except to buy it all over again. Needless to say Navtech have never got my business since! Grrrrrrrrrrr Still, it works like it says on the tin so I cannot complain too bitterly.
The h3630 was recently revived into active service when I started flirting with PPC again. The Palm Tungsten T has been semi-retired and the h3630 brought out into service as I migrated across to a Dell Axim X30 High. I only wanted one set of calendar/data/contacts. Once over to PPC I am not going back, that was always my intention. However, problems with the X30 mean its going back to Dell for a refund. I now have a h4150 fully operational and doing everything I want/need it to over and above what the h3630 does, and in a smaller form factor.
So what happens to the h3630 now? It remains my back-up device to the h4150. I keep them both Activesync'd so if one decides to go west I at least can carry on my days work.
I've downloaded the PPC2002 upgrade which is now free (it was chargable at the time and with my digitiser problems I couldn't be bothered). Thats my next job on the list - give the h3630 a new OS to feed on.
Marvelous
