ipag wfi wireless card
I purchased a linksys wcf12 cf wireless card. It worked for a while then stopped. when i inser the card in my expansion slot, the ipaq simply asks for a card name and no name that I provide helps. Ihave downloaded the drivers multiple times with no results. any suggestions??

wireless card problem
I am using an expansion pack that has a CF slot and an extra battery HP calls ot the expansion pack plus.

Sorry to hear you are having trouble with a linksys product. I have a similar setup (CF wifi and Compaq Expansion Pack Plus) but my card is the d-link DCF-660W. No problems here.

i have a setup like urs, and i bought an ambicom cf wifi card and it worked for a couple hours then i tried reinstalling drivers multiple times and it didnt work, i ended up haveing to do a hard reset and it has worked ever since.

Mike, I tried Linksys and couldn't get it to work on my 2215. I switched to SMC saved almost $20 and it always works.

Try this, if you haven't already: My connection or lack of shows at the top right, double tap here, it should then show connectivity The Internet with settings showing, tap settings, at the bottom of the connections screen tap advanced, my screen then shows 3 buttons one under the other 1Select Networks 2 Select Location 3 Network Card tap network card, I hten change my network card connects to: The Internet, below this are a choice of adapters, i tap my wireless card SMC2642W wireless CF Card. Now it tells me to pull and reinsert the card to reset. Viola, I now have a connection.

well the answer may be a new card. I did try the ambicon and it failed as well. I gure I should try the SMC card. Thanks for the help
