Have recently upgrade my ipaq 3970 to wm2003 with the following configuration

sd card 256 mb by pretec
expansion pack plus for compact flash
ambicom WL1100c -cf wifi card

Have to say that the upgrade was worth it. the ease in connecting wifi is not so much easier. it is plug and it will detect the signals immediately. windows media 9 is so much better. word and excel do not seem to have the same problems as 2002

however, have several issues

1) cannot disable the hardware buttons so that the ipaq will not be activated when accidentally pressed. ale to do so in 2002 but 2003 will not allow me to disable the buttons when i put the backlight on automatic setting. any help?

2) my reset sound has gone missing when i soft reset. what happened?

You can only disacle your hardware buttons so that the ipaq does not switch on

Go to

start->settings->system->backlight->battery power

uncheck "turn on backlight when a button is pressed or the screen is tapped.
