Wireless Problem
hey all... i'm a new iPAQ user and i have a question about using my wireless internet connection....

i can connect just fine, but when i reset the iPAQ or put it to sleep, i lose my internet connection...

i played around with it a little and found that everytime i turn it on i need to go to the ip config and clear the ESSID field and click ok... after that, it connects just fine.

does anybody know how i could confige it differently so that i don't have to always do this??

thanx for your help

Welcome to iPaqHQ!

That sounds very weird. Seems to me your problem is more so with your wireless AP/router then your device.

On my Toshiba E740 (Pocket PC 2002) there is a box for the SSID. You can write in the name or select "ANY." With my h2210 (Mobile Windows 2003) the SSID is referred to as "Network name." In either case, the SSID is case-sensitive.

i'm aware of the case sensitivity of the SSID. when i reset the SSID, it appears as all caps. when i manually type it in in caps, it doesn't work. it's a very odd problem, and i just can't figure out how to get around it still.
