I have a question that I have not seen addressed yet.

I have 2 PDA's a 3850 and a 3950. using a Holux GM-270 GPS with them. The GPS works great no problem there, the problem is one of the map software programs I'm using (Delorme Xmap Handhelp) will not see the COM port on the 3950.

Here's the deal the 3850 puts the GPS on COM 5, this is fine Xmap sees the Com 5 port and lets me connect. For some reason the 3950 puts the GPS on comport 6 and Xmap will not allow me the select com 6 from it's drop down menu.

My question is there a way to change the comport that the 3950 has assinged to the GPS?

I have the GPS in a CF expansion pack. Actually I tried both CF and PC card expansion packs and got no differance in comports for the GPS.

Any ideas, I have looked around in the reg and found nothing that looked like it would make a differance?

Not that I know of. I have not seen a way to change the COM ports on a device.
