Is there a way to edit "start up" sound files?
Is there a way to edit/rename/replace the sound files that are (presumably) in ROM? For my own personal satisfaction I would like to replace the sound files that are used when you insert the iPAQ into or remove it from the cradle. But I can't just take the new files, name them the same and then move them over as they are read only system files. Can this be done? Thanx.

andyk,

Using your own sounds or editing their association is possible.

Take the wave files you want to use and transfer them from your PC to the Windows folder on your PPC.

Then go to Start->Settings->Sounds & Notification->Notifications tab. From there you will be able to associate various PPC funtions with the wav's stored in Windows. Click play sounds and use the drop down arrow, your wav's should appear there.
