I assume, being a 3835 owner, that you have tried several soft reset's, is that true ?

I had a problem similar to yours a few months ago with my 3835 and I ended up doing a hard reset and I reinstalled each application. That is the last thing you would want to do but I did it because I reasoned that I had some applications that didn't work well together so I decided to start fresh and take an especially hard look at the last one or two new programs that were installed. I decided not to use my Sprite backup to reload everything because it would have contained the same problem that the hard reset just eliminated. Obviously this was my approach to my problem and your problem may be different.

I'd keep trying the soft resets and see if it goes back to normal, the only trouble is, even if it works correctly again, it may just be a matter of time before it happens again.

Do you have a car charger? If so, you may want to try plugging it in to that and then doing a soft reset. It sounds like your battery is dead and your charger may be broke and you aren't getting enough juice to do much of anything.
