3950 and wifi
Just inherited a 3950. Is it possible to get wifi and what cards are available? I'm a newbie and would like any suggestions.

I think you coudl use either a SDIO sd wifi card (i'm pretty sure that that model supports SDIO with its SD slot) or you could get a cf or pcmcia sleeve and use most popular cf wireless cards.

I use a sandisk cf + 128 meg wireless card. Costs me 25 dollars on ebay and I use it with my sleeve.

With my old 3950 and a CF Expansion sleeve, I used a d-link DCF-650. It worked well, wasn't a battery hog, and had decent range. It was a little pasticky though, and never did get an update for WPA (WEP only).
Really any card will work on the 3950 except the Sandisk Wifi+256MB SD card. The wifi will work, but the iPaq can't see the on-card memory.
Hope that helps.

not really adding anything new, but to confirm all of the above. I use my 3950 with a SD wifi card, works great. Just remember to download the SDIO drivers from HP support site.
