You could try to get the latest ROM image for your device and load it (after extracting all files from the downloaded exe) onto a storage card. Then, insert it into your PDA and carry out a hard reset (calendar, iTask and soft reset) but also hold down the power button, this enables the PDA to search the storage card for a ROM image.
If this works then I would like to know so I can add it as another fix into my "My PDA" section. Good luck.

ok thanks, i'll try
where exactly do you find the rom update that can be loaded to SD card? this is what i've found so far: http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/fi...oad/17002.html nada, that installation needs stuff like active sync connection.. ![]()

I know, download the exe and then double click it to run it, choose where it should extract the files and then once that has been completed cancel the install. Now navigate to the folder where it extracted the files, load the files onto a storage card and insert the card into the PDA and then carry out the hard reset along with the power button. No AS required at all.

It does take a little bit of practice to get the correct hard reset. If you hold down the calendar and itask buttons plus the power button and then, while all three buttons are pressed, press the soft reset button. Even if you try it with or wothout the CD card you will know that it will work as the boot screen says that it is looking for a ROM image on the SD card.
The nbf file is the main file that you need but you might aswell put all the files on.

Hmmm, the buttons definately work for me as I had to carry out my own process to fix my PDA and while I was at it I tried the buttons. Maybe your device doesn't support it, maybe only the newer devices have it. I'm trying to think but nothing is coming to me that doesn't require AS or an operational OS. You could just play around with my previous steps using different buttons etc... and see what happens, it may just work and you will never know why!!
