3630 & the Parrot
I've managed to kill my 3630 during a BIOS upgrade.
It will show the Parrot, but will not connect to activesync, so I can't flash the BIOS again.
I've been searching the inernet for a solution & found one for a 3970 which said hold down the power and contacts button while soft resetting to get a ROM flash mode. This won't work on my 3630.
Any other suggestions anyone please?
All help gratefully received.

I found this at Brighthand...
http://forum.brighthand.com/showthread.php?t=148833

"Something to try - worked for me in the past..

1) download the latest ROM from compaq (v1.87)

2) Kill activsync through the task manager

3) Hard-reset your iPaq (do not enter the Bootloader)

3) drop your iPaq in the cradle and cancel all windows messages about installing a new driver

4) run the flash upgrade.

The compaq flash upgrade should be able to find your system and replace the flash memory - last time I reflashed mine it gave me an error and I ended up with a white screen with 3-4 virticle lines, this took care of it."

I am not sure it will be much help, but good luck.

Most everything else I found wound up being archived or 404 Not found...

Thanks for the suggestion, but this won'twork - the PC does not detect the ipaq in the cradle, so no comm's possible.
Any other ideas?
Thanks again,
Dave
