where you got the update? update to what version? i found my old ipaq 2 days back. was planning to play around with it.. was thinking of installing linux but i didnt have any luck.

Are you talking about a service pack for the machine? As far as I know there is no rom update v4. There is a service pack that you can find at the HP web site, click on support and fill in the info from there.
