iPaq 3850 and Cisco Aironet 350 PC Card

I just bought a Cisco Aironet 350 PC Card (AIR-PCM352) on eBay, for use with my iPaq 3850 that has a PC card/battery expansion pack. When I put it in the expansion pack, the screen goes blank, and depending on the color it turns there are diagonal lines that scroll across the screen. I have narrowed it down to a few possibilities, and was looking for some input to determine which (if any) is the culprit.

1. The card is simply missing drivers. I tried searching for them online and at the Cisco support site, and the only actual download I could find was at Cisco--and they won't allow a consumer to download them.

2. The batteries in the pack and PocketPC are too weak to power the card. The battery in the PocketPC seem to be fine, but the battery in the expansion pack is pretty weak by my estimation. I have an extra battery pack that is labeled as "For iPAQ 3100-3700's" which might be the correct replacement, but I don't have a torx driver small enough to open the expansion pack. Leaving the unit plugged in to the charger doesn't help.

3. The card is bad. I don't have anything else with a PC card slot, so I can't test the card right now.

I've moved on to a T-Mobile Shadow smartphone, so I don't need it as a daily user, but I do need it for work. I'm trying to get it set up with the ETC wRFU software so I can use it as a wireless remote on stage lighting rigs. Both the PDA and the card are one the approved list for the software. Any assistance would be much appreciated.
