Hi,
I have an iPaq 3650 with PPC2002, and CF Expansion sleeve. I upgraded the battery to a Hyperdrive 2.0. I have an AmbiCom 802.11B wifi card and a 512MB CF card. I put wireless applications on main memory and then use the 512mb card for non wireless applications. I use my iPaq for email, listening to internet radio, and watching TV that is being streamed from my desktop computer. I also use it for ebooks, and audio books, and some games. These go onto the cf memory card. This works fine but I wanted to have wifi and memory at the same time. So I wouldn't have to switch cards and so I could free up the main memory. So I bought a Sandisk wifi+128MB combo card. Here's the problem. For some reason, the combo card is slow and jerkey. When I stream video it is very jerky and pauses alot. But it's just fine when I use the Ambicom card. Also, videos copied to the Sandisk 128mb memory also play jerky. But the same video plays fine off of just a regular cf memory cards. Is there some reason why my combo card is slower than my seperate wifi, memory cards? And is there any thing I can do to make the Sandisk Wifi+128MB Memory card work better?
P.S. I love the nice loud speaker on my old ipaq. I hate to use headphones. I like to use my iPaq as a little radio I can take from room to room.
I tried a Toshiba e740 but the speaker sucked. Plus it was a little too unstable. So I sold it and went back to my trusty ol' iPaq. Do the newer iPaqs have as good a speaker as the original ipaq?
Paul.
