I have old H3630, with original PPC 2000. i build myself interface for IDE drive for it, so i can use it as desktop MP3 player.
the question it if there is a reason to upgrace PDA to PPC 2002. i know 2002 doesn't contain all progs like Windows media player,....

So, are there any pros of upgrading? better performace, more stable,... ?
any reason not to upgrade?

(since PDA will be used only as media player, memory is not such a problem)

The upgrade is more than worth it.
A new OS, speed improvements, stability, etc...
WMP isn't installed by default, but can be downloaded either way.
There really isn't any reasons not to upgrade :)

It's a good idea to upgrade for the above reasons but it can also be a little frustrating find an upgrade disc as HP does not support the H36xx anymore you can look on e-bay.

alright, system updated, nearly everything works fine. only the program i wanted to use as a screensaver, don't work with PPC2002. seems i need a new one.

now all i have to do is make AAC decoding support,and all is done.


Dfmclore: question: why should i search and buy upgrade disc, when i can download all required programs directly from hp? :) :) :)

I love Dockware there is a freeware ver. and the pro which is not bad price wise?
