Hello people.
A friend asked me if I could upgrade his iPAQ 3950 to Pocket PC 2003. I got the upgrade disc. I'm looking at the 3900 upgrader. I went by all the steps but when I got to Upgrading, it says Error 100: incompatible image. ROM version on his iPAQ is 1.11, ROM version on selected image is 4.00. The disc is able to downgrade the iPAQ back to PPC2002, but to ROM version 2.10. So I can't actually even install that one.
Read a couple of forums and reached one that pointed me to downloading an update for iPAQ H3970 and H3975 Pocket PCs. That one is an upgrade to 2.10.
As far as I can figure out from the way they say H3900 series I should be able to upgrade without regard to that small difference.
The iPAQ itself doesn't actually know it's a 3950 so I figure it's the same upgrade for the entire series.
I saw some people said they were able to upgrade it so it must be possible.
Please help me get it to 2.10 or to 4.0!

forget it 2.10 is only 397x not for the 395x series the difference is the 397x series have Bluetooth and the 395x series doesn´t have so its a wrong Upgrade you have got.

Please tell me witch language it is maybe i can nned it

I finally found out it should be named WWE_H3950_NBT.exe(hope I got it right. the webpage was in Japanese). Mine is named WWE_H3900_BTa.exe.

just look at emule or something else - sorry i need a German Disc so maybe there is someone who wants it
