Soft Reset
I have to do a soft reset on my 4155 a LOT. The PPC will be on the cradle and charging. Then, when i go to turn it on, nothing. I keep having this happen and the only solution is to soft reset it.

Any ideas?

It will be on in the cradle, then you try to turn it on? I'm confused, do you mean it's on in the cradle and you try to turn it off?

With my 3850, sometimes it's in the cradle and it locks up, and I have to soft reset. It's annoying, yes, but not too bad. I'm not sure, I think you should call hp support, or look online at http://www.hp.com they might have some comments on this issue, I've never checked...

Are you using Caligrapher?

That has been known to cause soft resets to a lot of people, including me....... had to remove it and it works fine now!

I had it installed at one time. But have removed it. However, it still is listed as an option. hmmmm

Also, now when I recharge, the backlight seems to be on. There is nothing on the actual screen, just a slight glow.

Hmmm

Maybe have to hard reset it. Oh well.

I you hard reset it, try not installing Caligrapher for awhile and see if your issues go away. There has been alot of reported problems with Caligrapher on some iPaqs.
