Wow...
Today I came across the Axim X5 (which I used to have) and held it side by side for the first time with my 4150. The differences are ASTOUNDING. The X5 is absolutely enormous compared to my 4150...it felt so bulky and unwieldy in my hand. Next I turned both PDAs up to full brightness and compared the screens. My 4150 is infinitely brighter and better looking, I was very impressed.

I loved my Axim, but oh man...this Ipaq is so much better for me.

I think it's not really fair to compare devices that are more than one year apart. Wait until early 2005, you'll feel that 4150 is not that good anymore

Okay, we can compare it on a personal preference with the Dell Axim X3i.

Compared to even that I love my 4155.

If I can get a sena case for this thing and maybe the extended battery, I think I will love this thing as much as I did my m515. Which is close to as much as I love anything electronic.

One really good thing came out of owning an X5: It makes me appreciate my 2215 that much more.

Hey, if it hadn't been for the X5, I would have never been able to afford getting into PPCs in the first place.

The X5 was my first PPC that I've owned. Before that was all Palms and Handsprings. The X5 opened my eyes to the Pocket PC world and I never regreted buying the X5. I still have my X5 along with my 2215. Holding the two side-by-side, well forget about it.

There's no real proof of this, by it's my opinion that Dell's aggressive pricing has made all current PPCs a little more affordable.

I like the 4150 and its definately smaller than the x5, but I prefer my because it has CF and SD and the 4150 does not

But congrats to dell for the great x5 in the first place!

A little off topic, I know, but . . . after seeing so many familiar names here (Osiris, Civic with the cool bananas, etc.), I'm wondering just how many of us here are former Axim owners?

Whoops, now I'm getting double minded. I thought I remembered seeing the Civic graphic at AximSite, but maybe it was elsewhere. Regardless, the bananas are cool.

Same with me about not getting into PPC if it were not for the X5. The battery life and price were enough to pry me from my m515.

I too am from Aximsite.
