WiFi Connectivity Issues
I am attempting to access a Linksys WAP 11 with the iPAQ, however, I've been faced with contstant headache. The connectivity is not reliable. Once I delete the previous SSID and reconnect the WAP, the 4155 detects the handheld as normal. However, once I enter the WEP key the handheld does not connect.

Looking at the network settings>advanced>network card, the SSID is displayed. I tap connect and the status reverts back to "available." If I tinker between the "work" and "internet" settings, I may connect. I have been forced to set the IP address as static. If I am able to connect, the reception is outstanding. That is, if I can connect.

Another thing, when I do manage a connection and I attempt to browse the network, I receive a configuration error, stating that I must configure a "VPN" connection. I end up tapping dismiss. This is quite a pain. I have an H2215 that connects flawlessly to my setup.

During troubleshooting I've enabled my SSID broadcast, done away with my MAC filtering and even disabled WEP. Still no resolution. Of course, HP tech support is clueless. Any ideas out there? I'm in the IT business and find myself a little stumped.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. If nothing else, the handheld will be exchanged.

I have a linksys as well and I'm running into the same sorts of problems. I think that it is a problem with the linksys equipment and not the hp because I'm able to connect consistently at school.

So I have no answers, but if you do find the solution I would love to hear it

I asked a similar question over at brighthand. Here's what I've gotten so far http://discussion.brighthand.com/sho...threadid=94679

That's strange
I'm also using an H2215 with at D-Link 660w CF card and it connects without issue. I have upgraded the firmware in the WAP 11 and am currently awaiting an exchange through HP Shopping.

I find it difficult to assume that it is the WAP since another WM2003 can connect without issue and the H4150 cannot. Oh well, perhaps I can resolve the issue with a mere replacement. If not, I will seek a refund on the new handheld. As long as I have a functioning H2215 all is well. I just couldn't resist the form factor of the new HP handheld.

Problem solved?
I think that I've solved my connectivity issues! I exchanged my H4155 for another new one. Out of the box, it connected fine. Then, I attempted to tinker with the power save features and once I did that, my original problem showed its ugly face once again. I finally settled upon the "auto" configuration as compared to the "extended" all seems fine, for now. I thought I would share this in the event that others run into similar problems.

I still can't seem to set up a PAN between my H2215 and my H4155. They seem to discover each other but when I attempt to share files, they time out. What gives?

I ran into this same problem as well, neither the Power Save nor Extended modes seem to work well with my Linksys router.

I haven't had any problems with the router in Auto mode though -- in fact it detects and connects to any open Linksys router so fast that I barely have time to blink. It's sick!
