Vaja Case for the 4150/4155
Hi Everyone,

I just received my Vaja case for my IPAQ 4150 today. All I can say is that this is the best fitting case I have ever used. The case is impeccably made and fits my IPAQ like a body glove. All ports are available, including the IR port at the bottom. If you are willing to shell out the big bucks for a case, then I would recommend this case without reservation.

Hi: Thanks for the recommendation. I'm looking for a case for my 4155 so you're timing is great. What retailer or online site sells the Vaja case?

Hi,

You should order directly from their website. There, you can choose among several options to customize your case, including leather choice, color, interior slots, and more. Their website is http://www.vajacases.com. They say on their website that the order will take 20 days to produce, but I received mine within 2 weeks via FedEx International Priority. Good luck!

How thick is your case? How well does the flip case flip around to the back? I don't like the top just dangling over my wrist. I'm considering one but I don't want it to add much to the size cause that is why I purchased the 4155 in the first place.

Thanks,
-Shane

Shane:

The case fits perfectly and all connections and buttons are readily accessible, including the reset button. Naturally, the case will make your Ipaq a bit larger overall, but the leather itself is thin and of high quality. A rough measurement of the Ipaq with the case shows the height increases to 7/8 in and the overall length to be about 4.5 in. Since the cover is made of the same thin leather as the rest of the case, I believe you can "work" the leather to fold it fairly flatly back. Other than actually holding it in your hand this is the best description I can give you.

Good luck!

I just received my Vaja case and must say, it's the nicest PDA case that I've ever owned! The leather quality is top notch and the fit is down right awesome.

How much did you pay for your case if you don't mind me asking? On the site it says initially that the case was in the fifties. After choosing colors and everything(even with the no cost options) it comes up to around $80. I'd spend around fifty but I don't know about $80 or $90. Also, I'm considering getting the extended battery which I'm sure won't fit with this case or any other one for that matter.

That sounds about right. I chose the custom leather and added the cc + mmc insert. I believe it came to $80.00 before adding shipping. The most economical choice would be to buy the instant ship version which has the black leather with the black floater leather insert for $54.40. Like I said in my initial post: "If you are willing to shell out the big bucks for a case, then I would recommend this case without reservation."

I got the Classic for 56.00 + 18.00 shipping. It is an awesome case. The case is entirely leather with no such thing as a floating insert.

It adds very little bulk to the handheld.

I don't know which model you purchased but the immediate ship "classic" is described as black aniline/black floater and it sells for $54.90 and $58.90 with the ultra clip. The floater leather refers to the grained leather insert on the front flap of the case as opposed to the smooth aniline leather of the rest of the case. Just in case others are interested: http://www.vajacases.com/Vaja/catalo.../Prods/935x-T/$file/ablack_fblack.jpg

Vaja case
I received my Vaja case for the 4155 this week. This is my second Vaja case. They are clearly the best. I received it about ten days after ordering. The only issue I have is it will not fit in the cradle.

Check the Vaja website. The 'floater' insert is a term used by Vaja to represent a different type of leather used. I just ordered the custom black aniline with cherry floater. I ordered the case without front padding, which will keep it slim.

that clarified that issue, yes my case has the floater. Never heard of this terminology. It's my first Vaja, so I'm a rookie.
