bluetooth issue
It happened a few times to me already. All the suddent, the bluetooth manager icon on the lower right corner disappear. When I went directly to Setting->System->Bluetooth, I got the following error message.

"The Bluetooth Radio failed to turn ON due to Insufficient driver memory available. You must Perform a normal reset before you can turn ON The Bluetooth Radio. "

Any idea why and how to fix it?

I'll try to call HP sometime this afternoon if I have time.

WM2003 and Pocket PC 2002 has what is called virtual device memory that is preallocated (virtual address space). You cannot see it if you go into Settings -> System -> Memory. This address space is used to load all drivers upon reset. If you have a 4155 (which I think you do) BT and WiFi drivers are loaded upon reset. Try turning off WiFi (if it is running) and the BT radio. Soft reset your PPC. Then before opening any programs, turn on the BT radio before going into BT Manager. If and when the BT radio starts, then go into BT Manager. I would also take out any cards since they need drivers as well.

It sound like the BT driver was not initializing because you were short on virtual address space for the drivers. By restarting this way you should be able to startup BT.

I have also heard that is not a good idea to run WiFi and BT at the same time for this very reason.

But wouldnt running bt and wifi at the same time drain battery life faster?

Theoretically, yes it would.

It works after I do a soft reset. The driver was loaded before. I had used it the day before and then all the suddent, it's gone. I'm wondering what cause it to unload from memory so I can avoid it next time. It's kinda annoying to do a soft reset all the time.

I have not seen this issue happen on my 4150.
I use Bluetooth a lot, but I do not (yet) use Wi-Fi.

I have just purchased a new 4150 and the Bluetooth Manager displays the driver memory error at very regular intervals. The error appears to be false as persistence will cause it to run even though it is layered with errors.

I am continuing to search for a resolution.

Yep, BT and Wifi both use power. Running them together will consume more power than running just one.

Sometimes I find that that BT Manager won't come up. I soft reset, run the BT Manager (which turns on BT) and then sync with my PC. Then I can turn it off. Try to get into the BT Manager a little later and sometimes it doesn't come up and I need to soft reset. So not THAT reliable in my opinion. Doesn't signifiantly detract from my ability to use it, just a stability issue.

Anyway else see that?

I have run them both together before but not often. Never seen the driver memory issue though.

BT is around 30 - 35ma while Wifi is closer to 250-300ma. No comparison.
