Thanks.

What are some of the common complaints for the 4150? A lot of people compain about the wifi on the X3i (cannot get 128bit WEP working and have problems connecting to non-SSID broadcasting APs) but I'm not sure if that's down to a user interface error or a genuine issue.

I hear that the screen is a little yellow.. Anything else I should know?

I have heard great things about both devices. The HP is a little smaller but the Axim is much better graphically speaking. I don't have either device, but if you do a little of searching on the forums, you will find existing topics like this with many replies.

Also, you can head over to www.aximsite.com to find out more about the X3i.

I'm the opposite. I am planning to register on AximSite soon, but iPAQhq is already taking up a hell of a lot of my time, so I don't think I will have much of a life if I sign on to AximSite.

EDIT: Just checked out your profile at AximSite. You are a seasoned veteran! Also noticed you live in Toronto, like me. I'm in Scarborough, what about you?

Well if price is a factor than you might want to check out the dell especialy when you get the discount coupons. I have not had an X3i but from what I have read the screen is better than the 4150. It seems that all 4000 series have a slight yellow tint while the colors seem to be richer than other PDA's the tine can be annoying to some. The BT X3i should also be out soon if BT is something your interested in.

True the X3i does have a good screen. However, I personally have had hardware issues with the X3i. I amd currently waiting on my new 4155 while I am selling my 67 day old X3i on ebay.

I have a 4150, my brother has an x3i.

The x3i screen is better but the yellow tint on the 4150 doesn't botherm me as it is only visable at steep angles.

The wifi seems more reliable on the 4150 and it doesn't have an annoying flashing blimp on the top like the x3i.

The x3i has CIR, the 4150 just irda.

Both my brother and I prefer the 4150.

To top it off Dell's customer service sucks. I am still trying to recover the 380 quid they ripped me off for an x5 gps kit that never turned up.

Hope this helps.

Howard2k,

First off welcome to the site. I know you are a seasoned vet over at Aximsite with alot of knowledge so I am sure that you knowledge will be a asset here as well.

I don't have the 4155 but I play with my co-workers 4155 at work while he plays with my 2215 (a way of us getting knowlegeable on both devices). The 4155 has amazing wifi range considering it does not have a antenna that sticks out. The yellow tint is there but it is not noticeable if you are looking at it dead on. I have also found the BT on the 4155 has decent range as well. Certainly not as good as wifi but very decent. The microphone quality on the 4155 is very good as well. With the size of the 4155 it is perfect to record voice memos in conferences or meetings.

Hey XBoxLord,

Can you recommend a decent Vendor up here? I was thinking http://www.handheldcanada.com or my local futureshop if they have something in stock... $599/$594 seems the best price.

Any others you can recommend?

I got a brand new sealed 4150 from Ebay and saved myself £200 off the RRP over here in the UK.
